ERUSMA is dedicated to promote rural health, particularly maternal health, prenatal, postnatal care and prevention of child injuries.
With support of Regione Sicilia, it is helping to establish a Women Friendly Clinic, named Casa Sicilia, in Thakurgaon, one of the poorest district of Bangladesh.

Its objectives are:

• Provide EOC facilities, with 12 beds for critical cases

• Provide training to local women in delivery practices, antenatal care (ANC) and Post natal care (PNC)

• Through the women trained in ANC/PNC, promote community mobilization to encourage women to go to hospitals and clinics for seeking help and provide support to pregnant women and families during any obstetric emergency
